Co-op Advantages in a Nutshell
Reliable Electric Service
CVEC customers enjoy outstanding electric service reliability. We cannot guarantee the electricity will never go out. However, CVEC has been able to keep the power on 99 percent of the time during periods of harsh weather in Central Wisconsin. If trouble does occur, call us toll-free 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at 715-239-6800/ 800-300-6800.
Cost Based Rates
Operating under the Cooperative principle, "to provide a service at the best possible price," our rates are designed to allow adequate margins to operate and maintain the electric system. Once all operating expenses are met, any remaining margins are allocated back to members as Capital Credits.
CVEC has a water-heating program that allows members to purchase electric water heaters at a reduced price. In addition a monthly credit is available to water heaters connected to a load management receiver.
Home Heating Discounts
Home heating is of primary concern to members of CVEC. The dual fuel/heat storage program available through CVEC makes the winter heating season more affordable. The programs allow for a reduced electricity rate on the electric use in a properly connected dual fuel/heat storage system. Our Member Services Department is available to assist and answer your heating questions. Call Russ or Nicole at 715-239-6800 / 800-300-6800.
CVEC is available to answer your electrical questions. Whether you are building or remodeling we have information available on lighting, heating, or wiring. If you need someone to do the work, call us for a list of CVEC qualified electricians.
Convenient Bill Paying
CVEC members can have the electric bills paid automatically each month through our automatic payment plan. The monthly bill amount is taken out of the member's bank account each month on the bill due date. The member saves on postage and check-writing charges normally incurred.Other Items of Interest
