Stray Voltage Analysis

Stray voltage is an ongoing concern for dairy farms. Stray voltage occurs when the electrically conductive parts of agricultural buildings and equipment carry a slight electrical charge. Usually the current levels involved with stray voltage are much lower than what would be harmful or noticeable to humans. Stray voltage is important, however, because dairy cattle are much more sensitive to electricity. If stray voltage is present it can affect the milk production in dairy cows.
