Spring Tree Planting

With the coming of spring we are all looking forward to getting out and doing our lawn work. Please remember when planting trees or shrubs, that Chippewa Valley Electric will maintain a clear right of way under and twenty feet either side of the pole line. So look up and plant out of the line right of ways to avoid having to move or having the trees cut.

Air Conditioner Controls

Chippewa Valley has an air conditioner control program that gives a $6.00 credit for the months of June, July and August.

Currently we are offering an additional $25.00 credit for members signing up prior to June 1st, 2012. See the Air Conditioning page for complete information.

Resolution Policy Enacted

At the March 30th Board Meeting the Board enacted Policy 1.31 Membership Resolutions.
This policy sets the guidelines for members wishing to present a resolution at members meetings, including the Annual Meeting.

1. The resolution shall be voted on at either the Annual Membership Meeting or any Special Member Meeting called in accordance with the By-Laws.
2. The resolutions shall be presented at least forty-five but not more than ninety days prior to the Meeting to allow Board review.
3. The Board shall have the authority to table any resolution that is not accompanied with the signatures of at least fifty active members of the Cooperative.
4. Only resolutions directly connected with cooperative issues and/or operations shall be eligible to be submitted to the members for consideration.
